Message To The Church Of Laodicea Revelation 3:14-22

The letter to the Church of Laodicea is the seventh letter to the seven churches of Asia-Minor.

About Laodicea

The city of Laodicea was originally founded by the Ionians, and was conquered by the Hittites in the 19^th Century B.C. During the particular time when Paul penned the book of Revelation, there was a large colony of Jews living in Laodicea, according to the first Century scribe and General, Flavius Josephus.
Josephus stated that the Lodicean Jews were exempt from Roman law; Antiquities of the Jews book #14 10:20. The book of Acts is replete with passages referring to these same Jews (those who followed the traditions of the elders, or Talmudism) worked in a concerted effort with the Romans to persecute Christians.

Laodicea was at the junction of a road between Ephesus and Smyrna. The overland caravan route that went through their city spanned as far as the Yellow River in Punjab, North West India, which made Laodicea a very wealthy city complete with theaters, gymnasiums, and large public baths.

In 62 A.D. An earthquake destroyed the city of Laodicea and the entire city was rebuilt by the citizens of the city, as the citizens had the personal wealth to do so without the involvement of the Roman government.

One of the features that the city possessed, was the warm water that came from the natural hot springs located six miles away, called the Hierapolis Springs. This mineralized water contained high amounts of sulfur. Although the Laodicean's were rich in material goods, the water going into the city was not a good quality.

Excluding the mineral problem, warm water by itself is a natural emetic and appetite suppressor. If you do not let the water cool down to drink or heat it up and make tea or something similar, you may vomit. For sustainable drinking water, the city of Laodicea shipped in potable water from Colossae a neighboring town, that got its water from the snow melting off the nearby mountains. Of course, only the rich could afford to pay for the water so the poor would either become sick or move out of town. To the right and above, is a picture of aqueduct piping going into Laodicea that's clogged with calcium. 

The message to the Church of Laodicea

Rev3:14 The Messiah introduces himself as the faithful and true witness to the creation of God. Rev 3:14 refers to when God created and does not mean God was created as taught by the Jehovah Witnesses; John1:1.

Rev 3:15 The politics of the Laodiceans was similar to the politics of the rich today in America, consisting of compromise in an effort as not to lose their goods. Just look at how fast gay marriage was readily accepted.  Usually when people have the ability to get anything they want, their carnal mind takes over and start compromise, they put Father Yahweh to the back of the priority list; Romans 8:7. Yashua knew of the Laodicean's works and knew they had some serious problems.

Rev 3:16 The Messsiah compared the Laodicean's to the warm water that came to their city from afar. I have been to many churches that interpret this verse as there are cold and hot Christians. If this was true, then it would be better to be a cold Christian for Christ, rather than being a lukewarm Christian and falling short from being hot. Of course this concept is wrong and doesn't make any sense. Rather it's my opinion that the Messiah was telling the Laodiceans to be palatable; Matt 5:13.

Rev 3:17 when it comes to money, there's seemingly nothing that will distance you further from Father Yahweh; 1 Timothy 6:10, Matt 6:24. There's seemingly an endless supply of televangelists that claim “God wants you to be rich”, or God will bless you by sharing in their ministry, so give them money so they can buy learjets, rolex watches, stain glass windows, and gold plated door knobs; 2 John 1:9-11. 

There's no place in the Bible that guarantees anyone will become rich in material goods by being a Christian. Actually, your more likely to be poor, because you will be tested in life and will have to endure hardships to actually prove yourself as an over comer for his kingdom; 1 John 5:4

Ministers such as Joel Olstein will try to coerce anyone they can into putting their faith in God as a genie in a bottle or some sort of a false Santa Clause god that will fulfill all you material wishes, 

In Romans 10:17 we are told that real faith comes from the word of God, not from greed or someone talking you into following God. These types of ministers claim to be biblical ministers, and I agree with them, they are the biblical ministers, the Bible describes them biblically very well in Rev 3:17 and Matt 7:21-23.

Rev 3:18-19 The Laodiceans are told to step up to the as they will be tried. They will be rebuked and chastised in an effort to make them repent (repent means to change the way you think).

Rev 3:20 This verse is well know in the Christian community, it's almost as popular as John 3:16. Rev 3:20 is a usually used during an alter calls. However, this verse is always taken out of context, because it's promoted as Jesus being behind the door and opening the door to let the repented sinner in when he is outside the door. The real meaning behind this verse, if taken in context, you will come realize that Yashua Messiah is the one on the outside of the door wanting to come in as he was the outsider when dealing with the Laodiceans in this passage. Maybe I can explain it this way, we are told when two or three people are gathered in his name he is there also; Matt 18:20. The Laodiceans were not gathering in his name and he (Jesus) was an outsider, but rather they were gathering in the name of mammon; Matt 6:24, Luke 16:13.

Rev3:21-22 We are promised that he who overcomes tribulation, will help rule in the New Jerusalem when the Messiah comes to restore his kingdom on earth. This letter, as well as the other six, is applicable for all who have the ability to read and learn from the mistakes of others

Message To The Church Of Philadelphia Revelation 3:7-13

A little about Philadelphia

The sixth letter of Revelation is addressed to the Church of Philadelphia. The word Philadelphia roughly translates to mean “friendly city” or “city of brotherly love.” Philadelphia was located on a main artery between Rome and Pergamos. This city was the youngest of the seven churches addressed in these letters by the Messiah in Chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation. Philadelphia had a missionary outreach to the Israelites in Asia-Minor where the Messiah commanded the Apostles to go to; Matt 10:6, Matt 15:24
Philadelphia was famous for their vineyards and they were in direct competition with the vineyards of Rome. The reason for their success of growing grapes, came from the fact that Philadelphia was built on the edge of an active volcano. This volcano that helped Philadelphia become a success was also to become its downfall. In 17 A.D. There was an earthquake that destroyed Philadelphia. Relief for their loss came in the form of tax exemption from Tiberious in Rome. This relief came with a stipulation and that was that they do not replant their vineyards. At that time the city was renamed Neo-Caesarea in honor of Tiberius, presently, the exact place of Philadelphia is now called Niksar, Turkey.

The image of Tiberius Caesar was on the coin that Yashua Messisah told the Pharisees to “render unto Caesar what is Caesar's”; Matt 22:15-22.

The message to the Church of Philadelphia

Rev 3:7 The letter from the Messiah began with his introduction. He described himself as being the “Key of David.” The Key of David, is referred to Isaiah 22: 22-25. To have the key(s) of David means that you have the ability to allow access to the king. The “Key(s)” according to the Catholic Church, was given to the Apostle Peter, the first Catholic Pope by the Messiah; Matt16:19. This sounds biblically correct, however, the Catholics fail to notice that the Messiah gave the “key(s)” to all the Apostles in; Matt 18:18. The Apostles were opening the way for the many nations of Israel that came from Abraham (gentiles), by spreading the good news that their kinsman redeemer had come and they now had a direct pathway to the Father, because the Bible is a book about Israel and addressed to Israel. The men of Israel since then, have spread the word and the laws of Yahweh to both Israelites and Non-Israelites worldwide. True Israel (the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples) have taken the Bible and published it in more than one thousand different languages. Israel has literally preached the Gospel unto every creature to the very ends of the earth.

Rev 3:8 This opening of the door by David's Key, was for the common Israelite man as explained in; Acts 10:15, in this passage, common foods were directly compared to the men of the Gentile Nations that came from Abraham. The understanding of Yahweh's dietary food laws is necessary to interpret Acts 10 correctly. The way most interpret Acts 10, is that he Father changed both his mind and his laws by telling Christians that eating pork was now allowed. Science will tell you that eating pork is unhealthy. I have mentioned before that I believe science and the Bible go hand in hand. Anytime science and the Bible do not agree is because men have incorrectly interpreted scientific data or the Bible. It should also be obvious that eating pork is wrong because God does not change his laws to accommodate man, and he is not a respecter of persons and will not change his laws for people who cannot keep his laws. It is only through the grace of God that we now have a worthy sacrifice ; Acts 10:34.

Rev 3:9 Just as Rev 2:9 the Messiah (Jesus) refers to the false Jews as those that are from the Synagogue of Satan and falsely claim that they are Israelites from the tribe of Judah. Throughout the Book of Acts the Israelite Christians were exclusively persecuted at the hands of "the false Jews"; Acts 13:50, 14:2 and 5, 14:19, and 17:5. I have explained before in this Blog, about the False Jews. It's important for everyone to understand the different meanings from which the word Jew came from.

 When the King James Bible was translated, they translated the word Judahite, Judean, and Jew as being synonymous (the same word meaning). If you don't know the difference between the three then you will never understand this verse. I offer a brief explanation to these words.

A Judahite is an Israelite from the tribe of Judah. An example of a Judahite is Queen Elizabeth II. It's quite easy is to prove she is descended from King David and is of the tribe of Judah. If your definition of a Jew is a Judahite and you call a Judahite "one of God's chosen people", then I agree because Judah is one tribe from out of the many of the tribes of Israel.

A Judean is a person that occupied the Nation of Judah when the Judahites were taken to Babylon. They followed a religious order called the “Traditions of the Elders” which the Messiah preached against. It was codified into the Mishna in the 3^rd Century, and the Gemara was written after to explain the Mishna's teachings. These collection of books are called the Babylonian Talmud. A Judean can be of any race because the nation of Judea was a multicultural society, mostly composed of Edomites. The nation of Judea came to an end at the hands of the Romans in 70 A.D.

An analogy of a "false Jew" is Sammy Davis Jr. who obviously was a black man. His ancestors were Nubians not Israelites. Sammy Davis became a Jew because he knew who owned the theater's and night clubs in Vegas and world wide, this move helped his career greatly. According to conventional teaching in Judeo-Christian churches, anyone that claims they are a Jew (Judahite) and practice the Anti-Christ religion of Talmudism somehow automatically becomes an Israelite from the tribe of Judah. These churches teach their congregations to bless all Jews (true or false) no matter who or what what they are, so they in turn can be blessed by Father Yahweh for some unknown, unbiblical reason. If this is correct, and I am wrong, then we all should just simply walk away from Christianity and convert to Judaism so we to can be one of God's chosen.

A Jew, as we know the term today, is a person that follows Talmudism AKA Judaism which is an anti-Christ religion and can be a person from any race. Their holy book is not the Bible nor Torah, but rather it's the Babylonian Talmud. Most contemporary Jews are of a Turkish Mongolian mix and are Khzars. They speak Yiddish and do not speak, nor write, in ancient or paleo Hebrew. That's because Yiddish is ancient German. The ancestors of the false Jews that I am talking about, came from the footsteps of Russia and never have laid foot in Palestine.

Rev 3:10 In verse ten we are promised that those who keep his word will be protected from the hour of temptation. This of course very well may, refer to the beheading of the saints as in the great tribulation (a testing of your faith), that will fall upon the Christians saints that refuse to be enslaved by Babylon; Rev 20:4. 

Could the beheadings of Christians in Rev 20:4 have anything to do with ISIS? 

It's noteworthy to notice that this letter, as well as the other letters, that are addressed specifically to the seven churches, they all end with the phrase that “He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.”   This means that it's applicable to all that have the ability to hear the word, not just the individual churches. So not only could the men of Philadelphia be beheaded as in the past, and as the beheadings of Christians are actually happening today in this country, and is promised to become a more prominent as time marches on. 

Rev 3:11 In verse eleven we are told that the Messiah will come fast, as the events in tribulation will happen quickly, and warns us to let no man take to take our crown of righteousness when we are tested.

Rev 3:12 Verse twelve directly refers to the Gospel of  the New Jerusalem that comes from heaven. The new Jerusalem will be the reestablishment of Father Yahweh's (God's Kingdom) personally by the Messiah. His kingdom has slowly slipped away through gradualism due to the unwillingness of Israel to be good stewards in Yahweh's kingdom. I close in this one statement, and that is:  until Israel follows 2 Chronicles 7:14 not only does this country have no chance of recovery to what our founding fathers left for us, but also the situations worldwide will not change.

Message to The Church of Sardis Revelation 3:1-6

The fifth letter to the churches of Asia-Minor was addressed to the church of Sardis.

A few facts about Sardis...

The entrance to the city of Sardis was located at the crossroads to the other nearby cities. Sardis was built upon a 1,000 ft. peninsular which made it impervious to attack. The cities location, being where several roads intersected, became a trading city that grew wealthy in a short period of time. Their acquiring wealth was accelerated by the fact they found gold in the nearby Phrygia River, this finding gave rise to the famous Greek myth of King Midas. Sardis was also the first to mint coins from gold. The city was named after the Sardius stone in the priests breastplate; Exodus 39:10.

According to Herodotus (The Father of History), a soldier was seen opening a stone door to retrieve his helmet.

The battle of Sardis was fought when it was conquered by Cyrus in 549 B.C. The city was built very high upon a rocky spur on Mt. Tmolus and was considered impregnable. There was seemingly only one way into the city. The entire city was protected on three sides by the cliffs, and city walls. Cyrus literally could not attack by any of  the three sides because of its height. The cliffs below the city did have ways for a few people to get to the bottom of the walls of the city at a time, but with the technology available at the time, having a few people fighting at the city wall at a time would have made no difference.

One of the soldiers that was defending the city during this stand off, looked over the wall at Cyrus's army below, and his helmet fell off his head. Shortly afterward, the soldier pushed open a stone door at the base of the wall and retrieved his helmet. This door was balanced in such a way that is was used as a secret door out of the city. The door was necessary because the men of Sardis needed to have an escape route available in case they were ever to become overwhelmed by enemy forces. Cyrus learning of the location of this secret door, told most of his men to act as a decoy by creating a commotion at the far end of the peninsular during the middle of the night, while at the same time he had his commandos scale the cliffs to the newly discovered door. Cyrus's men entered the city and attacked the men of Sardis from behind while the soldiers of the city were protecting the far end of the peninsular. Separating the enemy from their supply lines and from their path of retreat is a tactic that was used by the Israelite Scythians when they were attacked over 2,000 years ago. The Scythians would retreat on horse then circle around to attack their enemies from the rear. The Russians used this simple tactic against Napolean when he invaded Moscow in  1812, he came to Moscow with 750,000 men and returned with a meager 10,000.

The message to the church of Sardis

When the Messiah addressed the church of Sardis, he identified himself as being the one that had the Seven Spirits and the Seven Stars. The Seven Spirits are described in Isaiah 11:1-2, and the Seven Stars are identified in Rev 1:20 as the Seven Angels of the churches of Asia-Minor. An angel is a messenger as defined in the Bible, and in this case most likely were the seven men from the seven churches that visited Paul when he was in exiled on Patmos.

Rev 3:2 The Church of Sardis had many flaws, and the things that were righteous were dying out. The Messiah told Sardis to be watchful and strengthen these things.

Rev 3:3 The Messiah told Sardis that if they do not repent, he will return as a "thief in the  night.” This term of “as a thief in the night” was known to the men of Sardis as the one night when Cyrus destroyed the city as Sardis. This term is also referred to in other places of the Bible that describes the return of the Messiah, which will be with a great noise heard around the world. This loud noise is in contrast to the silent secret rapture theory that will remove all people that call themselves “Christian” before proving that they can be an over comer through personal tribulation, and during the great tribulation. This unbiblical doctrine that was thought up by John Darby in 1830 is currently being taught by modern dispensational, antinomian, Judeo-Christian churches who's only function is to promote political Zionism that destroys cultures, races, and individuals; Matt 7:21.

Rev 3:4-5 When the Messiah returns, the men of Sardis as well as all Israelites that remain faithful in tribulation will wear a robe of white (symbol of purity), and walk with the Messiah. They will not have their names blotted out the book of life. For all of Israel, including the men of Sardis, the Messiah, our Passover lamb, will confess their name before his father only if they do his will be following his laws; Matt 10:32.

The Letter To The Church Of Thyatira Revelation 2:18-29

As we progress through the study of Revelation, we come upon the 4^th letter that is addressed to the Israelites of Thyatira. This passage that is to this body of believers (church), is the longest of the seven, while at the same time this church was actually the smallest. The city of Thyatira is just east of the city of Pergamos. It was founded by Alexander the Great as a military garrison. Its primary founding purpose was to protect the city of Pergamos by delaying any invasion of military forces that were marching toward the city. They also are famous for worshiping Apollo.

The mineral content of the underground water, enhanced many different colored fabrics by producing the reddest reds and was most famous for their production of purple garments. One such producer and retailer of purple garments from Thyatira, was a woman named Lydia. Her story can be found in Acts 16:14-15.

As time progressed, Thyatira became famous for craftsmanship and artisan work. The people of the city practiced immorality through various public heathenism. The Christians that lived in Thyatira, that both lived and worked there, were expected to participate in such acts by compromising their faith in the rituals and festivities. As a result many did, and just as today there were many that were Christian in name only that lived there.

The message to Thyatira...

The Messiah introduces himself to the members of the church as the one that has eyes like unto a flame and feet that are like fine brass, showing refinement and judgement; Rev 2:18. Although this church may have been on the right track on many things, there was some things that needed to be addressed. The Messiah compared the men who compromised their faith to Jezebel that practiced fornication and ate foods that were sacrificed to idols; 1 Kings 21:1-16. Although Jezebel had plenty of time to repent, she was utterly destroyed for her sins: 2 Kings 9:33-35. The reason this woman was mentioned to the church of Thyatira was to illustrate that the Christians that have strayed from their faith will eventually come to the same fate of Jezebel, if they continue their present course.

In the book of Kings, Jezebel's wickedness only stopped when she was thrown out of a window by her body guards to the horses below. When the horses finished jumping up and down on her head, all they found was part of her skull, her feet, and the palms of her hands; 2Kings 9:35.

Rev 2:25 the Messiah tells the men of Thyatira to hold fast until he returns. This return of course, refers to the pretribulation secret rapture of Christians... wait a minute, your Bible doesn't mention the secret pre tribulation rapture here? Well, neither does mine. In fact the word “rapture” is not in the King James Bible at all. I mention this fact only for the reason to get people to think. This verse clearly states that Israel is going to rule with the Messiah when he returns to rule with a rod of Iron; V 26-27.

Rev 2:26 As Christian Israelites, the Bible promises us that we will have tribulation to overcome, instead of being raptured out of the world at the last second as taught by all Judeo-Christian churches. Tribulation is the testing of your faith, and is refinement to show how serious your faith is to you. Israel is expected to be overcomers through tribulation until the Messiah physically returns to reestablish his kingdom here on earth. It's needless to say that Israel has done a lousy job of maintaining his kingdom in his physical absence. Those who overcome and promote his kingdom on earth, by practicing the Father's laws in their personal lives, will be given power to rule over cities and nations; 1 John 5:3-4. The word "Israel" means to rule with God, or to rule under God's laws. If you don't even bother to make an attempt to keep his laws in your personal life now, you definitely will not be given a position to rule over any others in God's kingdom.

Rev 2:28 The reference to the “morning star” that will be given to those who overcome, refers to the dawn of a new day, particularly the beginning of the new day that begins the 1,000 years commonly called the Millennial Kingdom; 2 Peter 3:8. This thousand year period will be necessary to both restore the earth and for the saints to learn the ways of God perfectly in their preparation to take their proper place by helping the Messiah rule from the throne of David; Isaiah 9:7. All of creation awaits for the return of the Lord, and what a glorious day it will be!

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
