I have heard before that some claim
that they are New Testament Christians. On the surface this may sound
great that someone call themselves any type of Christian at all and
should be a good thing, but, what exactly is a New Testament
Christian? Unfortunately that's a question we have to answer
ourselves because those who call themselves New Testament
Christians are at a loss when asked the question of
what exactly a New Testament Christian is?
Somehow those who call
themselves New Testament Christians seem to think that the New
Testament Christian is to love all the minorities of the world, give away their personal possessions, and kill yourself to show an example of Godly love.
This is definitely not a true Biblical definition.
So let's try to answer the question of
what these people are telling you about themselves.
First of all the word “Testament”
means covenant, so what they are telling you is that they are New
Covenant Christians. So the next questions naturally are: what is the
New Covenant and who did Father Yahweh make his new covenant with? Of
course they can't answer either of these questions but all they know is that they are New Testament Christians.
This is the answer; Father Yahweh made
his covenant with the house of Israel by writing his laws on the
hearts of his people (Israel).
“Behold, the
days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the
house of Israel, and with the house of Judah... I will put my law in
their inward parts, and write it in their hearts;...”
Jeremiah
31:31-33
Some may sit back
and state that I am distorting the facts because the book of Jeremiah
is in the Old Testament and has nothing to do with the New Testament,
or should I say the new covenant. They may have a valid argument only
if the exact same verse exists in the New Testament in the book of
Hebrews as well.
“I will make
a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah... For
this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after
those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their mind and
write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they
shall be to me a people.”
Hebrews 8:8-10
Writing his law on the hearts of the
Israelite people of the world, is the meat and potatoes of these verses. At one point in
time, in this country and in Europe it was commonly known that the
Israelites kept the laws of God, and we lived it by being the most
civilized countries in the world because his law is written in our hearts. Proof of this can even be seen when
at one time it was a common saying that
“ignorance is no excuse of the law.” In other words even though
you don't see it written down on paper, you should know what was right and
wrong by the law, speaking God's law of course.
As
Israelites, it's in our DNA that we are to treat others in the same
way that we want to be treated and I will state a simple example which will
be about the handling of food. This is easily shown by the dietary food
laws, but in this case I will only refer to the Ten Commandments
which are totally based upon loving God and loving your neighbor. The first five commandments deal with loving God and the second five
commandments deal with loving your neighbor. Most New Testament
Christians will at least acknowledge that the precepts of the ten
commandments are still in effect.
If we are running a restaurant it should be normal to give people high quality food for a normal amount of money and treat
them decently in the process. On the contrary an example of how things really work in this world is that there are people that may look like Israelites say,
with a larger than normal nose and are use to using shrewd business
practices. These people of course would do things to the food to make sure they
bring home the highest profit possible which would include both lying and
not following God's food laws nor commandments.
Lying will not make your nose larger like Pinnochio. Breaking the laws, commandments, and statutes of God will make your bank account larger and at the same time will put you further from both him and his coming Kingdom. This is simply the definition of the word "sin."
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
(1 John 3:4).
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
(1 John 3:4).
The
thing these people would do whether they are real people or
fictional people would be to maximize profit for themselves in all industries including the food industry. This unwillingness to follow the laws of God will always result in higher prices and
lower food quality. Specific examples from the food industry are: Pink slime which is an
additive that is added to beef that comes from putting meat scraps
into a centrifuge. These scraps contain higher than normal bacteria and will make you sick. So ammonia is added to decrease the level of bacteria in the food.
Another thing that is commonly done is
to deoxygenate orange juice. Taking the oxygen out of orange juice
will make the juice last up to year in large vats and will allow for timing the market and selling at the highest price. Unfortunately
removing the oxygen also removes the taste. This is why Orange juice
from one manufacturer will differ in taste from another depending on
which chemicals they use to reintroduce flavor.
After a while eating commercially
purchased food with chemicals such as ammonia will make
you sick. This is why we have health inspectors to monitor such
things and in turn this increases the prices. These two particular examples
show how the price of the product goes up while the quality goes down.
One can literally take examples from any sector of the economy to
show this truth also.
It's only when we follow the laws of
God that are both written in our hearts and in our bibles is when, and
only when, we have a chance of making changes in this great country of
ours to promote Yahweh's Kingdom.
The bible clearly states that the entire world waits until we take our proper place as Kings and Priests in the Lord's Kingdom (Romans 8:19).
praise the Lord!
If
my people, which are called by my name (Christian Israelites), shall
humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their
wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin, and will heal their land.

Chronicles 7:14
The parallel of being Israelite and running a restaurant doing things right just because that's how it should be really resonated with me. I have thought exactly that for many years. First time i read somebody put that thought into words.
