It's my opinion that a good place to
start with Chapter 5 is with a quick explanation of a scroll and how the seals work. A scroll in Biblical times was usually written on papyrus
paper, and was one continuous piece of paper. Later scrolls were
written on parchment paper (animal skins). An important scroll would
be rolled up and would have seals placed on it so the designated
reader would be the only one reading the contents. It wasn't uncommon
for important scrolls to have many seals on them. Each seal would
designate who the person was that would have the authority to break the seal and read
it. For instance, a scroll could be given to a secretary of an
important person and the secretary would unroll it to the point where
the following seal would then designate who the next person is to
read the next set of directions on the scroll. So, the more you
unrolled a scroll the more important the information, and the more
important the person is that's reading it.
John's futuristic vision
Most modern
churches teach a replacement theology which replaces the nation of
Israel with a false concept that denies Israel's role in Revelation.
Instead, they teach that if anyone believes in and loves Jesus, they
suddenly become “Spiritual Israel.” When a reader reads the book
of Revelation from the view point of this Replacement Theology,
Revelation suddenly becomes a confusing book full of mysterious
symbols that's difficult to interpret.
The Bible
is clear that the tribes of Israel existed during the time of the writing
of all the books of the Bible including the end of the age in the book of Revelation. The evidence of Israel not having been done away with is
profound and undeniable. Paul hammers away about this very subject of physical
Israel being the literal Israel of the Bible in Romans Chapters 9,10, and 11,
especially Romans 11:1 when he
clearly wrote:
“I
say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an
Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.”
John saw in the
right hand of the Messiah, a scroll that was sealed with seven seals.
This scroll is the same scroll that Daniel closed up and he “sealed
till the time of the end” Daniel 12:9. This scroll of Daniel's needed to have a very important person to be able to
break all the seals and read it in its entirety. One of the elders brought
it to John's attention that the Messiah was the only one that was qualified to read the scroll.
In Revelation 5:6 the Bible states that
in the midst of the beasts (represented by the symbols of the tribes
of Israel), stood a lamb which was slain with seven horns and seven
eyes representing the Seven Spirits of God; Isaiah 11:2.
When he took the
scroll, the four beasts and 24 elders all representing the
patriarchs, Apostles, Matthew 19:28, and all of Israel; Numbers 2,
praised the Lord as their kinsman redeemer forever. A good read in
regards to a “kinsman redeemer” is the book of Ruth which is only
4 Chapters long. We know that the Messiah redeemed Israel as their kinsman redeemer, because in
verse 9 and verse 10 it clearly states that he has
both redeemed us
and “made
us unto our God kings and priests”; Exodus 19:4-6, Deuteronomy 7:6, and
Deuteronomy 14:2.
Revelation Chapter
5 is a powerful demonstration of the nation of Israel worshiping the
Father and following his laws. When Israel does not seek the will of
the Father 2 Chronicles 7:14 by
seeking the will of God, curses will come upon both Israel and all
the world; Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26. It's not by accident, but rather is by design that we have
the problems we have today in this country; Isaiah 45:7.
We
may complain about the person that our media tells us is some how our President and is leading us (a leader is someone that goes first). However, it's realistic that after this we will
get two terms of Hillary next time around simply because she would be the worse thing that could happen. Then of course after Hillary, we absolutely will get someone even worse and it's totally by design as we are being cursed; Deut 28. It's up to us to bring freedom to ourselves by following Yahweh's laws before we can help others. For the time being, we have
both the President that God put over us and the one
we deserve as a nation. It's only when we follow God's laws when we
will become free from Babylon. Just keep in mind that it
matters not if your in Babylon, but rather what's really important
is if Babylon is in you.
“For
the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation
of the sons of God.” Romans 8:19
Praise the Lord!
