When Yashua Messiah opened the Fifth
Seal, there came a voice from under the alter crying “ How long,
O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on
them that dwell on the earth?”
This statement is a direct reflection
of the Lord's prayer for the restoration of his kingdom when Yashua
messiah told us when we prayed to say: “...on earth as it is in
heaven...” Matthew
6: 9-10
This judging and avengement of the
saints blood will happen when the Messiah restores God's Kingdom here
on earth. “And judgement was given to the saints of the most
High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom”
Daniel 7:22.
The timing of this event for the saints
under the alter in Revelation 6, came after the events of Matthew 24:15 (also see Daniel 8:13), which is a parallel
scripture of Revelation and eludes to the fact that the Abomination
of Desolation had already happened during these events in Revelation.
This event will be an event of the Father's chosing when the Holy
Spirit will let Christians know when it is time to flee (get out of
the way quickly) from the upcoming events that will destroy the
Babylonian system that we now are slaves to.
The souls under the alter
Everyone agrees
that the book of Revelation is a very symbolic book. It's my opinion
that the souls are symbolic of both the living and the dead in Christ
that both have and will be persecuted for their witness to the truth.
This is representation of the entire company to the body of Christ
both dead and alive. The reason I say this is because the Bible
requires for us to die daily to ourselves in the service of the Lord.
Paul stated in; 1 Corinthians 15:31,
“I die daily”, or in 2 Corinthians 5:6
when it is explained “...whilst we are at home with our (carnal)
body, we are absent from the lord”, and again in 2 Corinthians 5:8 when we are told that only being absent
from our carnal body (dying to ourselves) is only when we are present
with and can have a proper walk with the Lord.
The blood of the physically dead
demands justice on behalf of the Father, who is in total and complete
control of the events that will lead to the return of the Messiah at
a time of his choosing. The testimony preached by the saints
(physically dead or dead to their carnal nature) is to follow the
laws of Yahweh and to prepare for the coming of the New Jerusalem in
which the Messiah will rule the entire planet with the help from the
12 tribes of Israel. The word Ish-rah-el means “man ruling with
God” or another way to put it so it's more understandable is to:
rule with God, or to rule under
God's law. If you remember, Israel is the name of a man in the
Bible who's name was once called Jacob until God changed his name to
Israel; Genesis 35:10.
The descendants of Jacob/Israel today are called
Israelites. One way to remember this is that if God had never changed
the name of Jacob to Israel then Jacob's descendants today would be
literally be called “Jacobites.”
The avengement of spilt blood has its
origin in Genesis 4:10 when
Abel's blood was shed by Cain and the death of Abel demanded justice
from God. The Bible describes physical death as sleep. The Bible calls death sleep many different times in many different books. I will list some verses at the end of this post for those who wish to explore the subject further *.
Scientists agree that sleep is
the closest thing to death we experience during our life time. When
we sleep, our entire brain shuts down except for the autonomic nervous system keeping life sustaining systems working at a minimum.
In reality, all of us are only 1 breath, or one heartbeat away from
death our entire lives. Just think, we look forward to going to sleep
every night!
Some Christian denominations believe
that when people physically die they still exist and can understand
what is going on around them. For one example, the Catholic Church
believes there is a place called Purgatory. According to the the
Catholic rule book (Catechism of the Catholic Church), purgatory is a
place in which other physically living Catholics can pray for the
conscious dead person and get their time in purgatory reduced. The
Mormon Church (LDS) also believe that the dead have consciousness and
are in a spiritual prison (1 Peter 3:18-20),
where they learn about the Messiah until they are eventually released
into paradise. Living Mormons believe they can baptize themselves on
behalf of a dead person that has never heard the gospel based upon 1 Corinthians 15:29.
The Lord's shows mercy
In verse 11, white robes were given to
the slain and it was said unto them to rest for a little while
longer. The white robes are the symbol of the righteousness of Christ
and the saints were comforted in the knowledge that the Kingdom will
soon be manifested. This statement in itself shows the loving grace
of our Messiah as his blood does wash us clean, and gives us ample
opportunity to repent; Revelation 7:14.
Israel is saved by grace by our kinsman redeemer and we really do not deserve his mercy. It's only
when Israel follows the call of 2 Chronicles7:14 (being humble and seeking God) which includes
following the laws of Yahweh, praying, and fasting that keeps us in
good standards with God.
Then and only then can we fully appreciate
his mercy; Psalms 118.
*Verses that state death is sleep, or eludes to this concept are as follows: Job 7:21, Job 14:10-12, Psalm 13:3, Daniel 12:2, Matthew 9:24, Mark 5:39, Luke 8:52-53, 1 Kings 2:10, Deuteronomy 31:16, 2 Samuel 7:12, 1 Kings 11:43, 1 Kings 14:20, 1 Kings 16:6, 1 Kings 22:50, 2 Kings 14:16, 2 Kings 15:7, 2 Kings 16:20, 2 Kings 20:21, 2 Kings 21:18, Revelation 14:13, John 11:11-14, Acts 7:60, 1 Corinthians 15:6, John 5:28-29, Job 14:13-15, Psalm 17:15, Isaiah 26:19, Daniel 12:3, Luke 16:22-23, 1 Corinthians 15:20, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Jeremiah 51:57, Psalm 76:5, and Jeremiah 51:39.
Hi brother Frank, I totally agree with you that when we die we are basically in a state of unconsciousness. It seems even the Protestant denominations have beliefs that when we die we automatically go to heaven when that is not true.
ReplyDeleteI do have a question for you...Do you believe that most of Revelation has already happened or that some of it has happened? The reason I ask is as I do my studies I have seen that many people who study about our people being the Israelites seem to believe that much of it has already happened during the time of Roman rule through Christ and after the fall of the Roman empire. I pray that Yahweh continues to help us understand the bible as we continue our journey.
Thank you, Brother Erik
Hi Brother Eric, glad to hear from you. In the beginning of Revelation 1:1 its description is of a time that was present, then it went into describing the events of the time of the 7 different churches of Asia-minor. In Revelation 4:1 the time is described as a time that is after. In Revelation 6:1 the seals start to open and events start to happen. It is my opinion that the Bible is written in such a way that futuristic Israelites of the written time will benefit from their writings. For example if you look at the beginning of the various books of the New Testament you realize they are addressed to groups of Israelites that lived a long time ago and the information is still valid for those who have a calling from Yahweh's Holy Spirit; John 6:44. Anyway back to the question, I know that there are people that claim that the events of the entire book of Revelation have already happened and I do not agree because of there being other books in the Bible that support the end time events of Revelation such as Ezekiel 37 and 38, the book of Daniel talks about the events to not be revealed until the future Dan 12:9. Then you have the Olivet Discourse's in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. With all these scriptures pointing to the events of Revelation, I believe that the end events of Revelation is a very important time in history that will effect all of Israel which is composed of the civilized Israelite nations of the world. The Naysayers claim that the events of Revelation describe Rome sacking Jerusalem in 70 AD for example, but this only describes that part of the world. One such person is Howard B. Rand in his book "Study Of Revelation." Although I think Dr. Rand is worth reading, I do not agree with him on this particular issue. I know that Rome was the center of the civilized world for a while, but what I am talking about is that Israel was spread over the world starting with the Exodus, or maybe even when they were sojourning in Egypt, the tribe of Dan was sailing to other parts of the known world, and also during the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities some were sailing out of the region to escape the wars; Judges 5:17. Even in America, if you read the book by Barry Fell called "America BC" there is overwhelming evidence that there were Israelites in America and other places globally during this general time frame so they would have missed out. It is my opinion that the events of Revelation will effect all globally in a one world government sort of way, and is an important event. So in my opinion it is futuristic and very well may or may not happen in my lifetime. We have to look at the seasons and signs to have an estimation of when the Messiah will return, so always be prepared in the way Yah's Holy Spirit directs. I pray I have answered your question and not confused you. Maybe I would have done better with a one word answer?
ReplyDeleteHi brother Frank. Thank you so much for your answer. I actually wasn't looking for a one word answer...Haha. This certainly does make a lot of sense and puts things into perspective. As I was looking into it I thought some of it was off because it says that people will only be able to buy and sell with the mark of the beast and no where in history has that happened yet, but we see that the time for that is coming soon among many other things. I just thought that I do believe that Revelation is in the future. I just thought of how many things have happened to our people throughout history because of our disobedience, which can be found in Deuteronomy 28 and that has nothing to do with the events of Revelation. I just wanted to see what your thoughts were on the subject because you have been studying a lot longer than me and I just don't want to be deceived by false doctrine. I just want to again thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

*I do believe that Revelation is in the future....Not I just thought that I do believe that Revelation is in the future...Dang, I wish there was a way to go back and fix mistakes.
