In chapter 8 Noah landed on the mountains of Ararat (plural), not to be confused with Mt Ararat in Turkey which is a single mountain. He sent forth two birds, one a raven, and the other a dove. At first the dove cannot find dry land because of the immense water span in the area of the Ark. Then you will notice that the dove picks an olive leaf in verse 11. Remember, just prior to that there was no dry land and now there is dry land and there is an olive tree that has leaves on it. This is important because if the entire planet had been flooded then there could be no olive tree, so of course there could not be an olive leaf after 7 months of the Ark floating either. Then suddenly the dove finds a growing tree with leaves on it?
In verse 20 the bible states that the very first thing Noah did was build an alter to sacrifice clean animals on unto the Lord, this was the best Noah had in possessions. If you will also notice that it says "clean animals" were sacrificed. For both food and sacrifice is the reason why there were 7 of each clean animal brought onto the earth (Gen 7:2).
This is appeasing to the Father when we offer up the best of everything we have. This is not to be interpreted as giving all your money to some church down the road so they can buy a gold plated door knob or a stain glass window. The Father does not need money, only when we surrender all to him can we walk in his glory!
It is my prayer for all Israel to surrender all to the Lord almighty!
