The Final Chapter Genesis 50

When Jacob-Israel died Joseph wept for his father, and commanded for his father to be embalmed. Joseph being there when his father died is fulfillment of Bible prophecy that Joseph would be with his father when he died (Genesis 46:4).  The Bible also tells us that the Egyptians “mourned” for Jacob-Israel for 70 days v.3. These 70 days of mourning is significant because the Egyptian Pharaohs were mourned for for 72 days, just two more than they did for Israel. This indicates that Jacob-Israel had a royal Egyptian funeral. The embalming of his father was essential because of the long trip it would take to bring Israels body to the Cave of Machpelah.

Jacob asked the Pharaoh if he could return to Canaan land temporarily to bury his father and of course the answer was "Yes" to Joseph, simply because all loved Joseph and knew that they were literally alive only because of his dream interpretation from Father Yahweh. The Pharaoh gave Jacob-Israel a funeral procession that was unmatched by any non-Egyptian before with all the servants and elders from the land of Egypt v.7.

Verse 11

“and when the inhabitants of the land, the canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abel-mizraim, which is beyond Jordan.”

They arrived to the threshing floor of Atad (Atad means thorn), with the body of Israel. This land of Atad is described as being beyond the river Jordan, which we know is located on the West side of the Jordan River . The final resting place for Israel was in the Cave of Machpelah. This verse is significant because it gives internal proof that Moses wrote the book of Genesis while traveling to Canaan land 430 years after this event in Genesis. Genesis Chapter 50 was obviously written by a person that was on the East side of the Jordan River at the time of authorship, probably in the land of Moab. This is along the same route Moses took into Canaan land.

When Joseph returned to Egypt, his half brothers became worried that Joseph was only being good to them because their father was alive. Now because their father had died, they were fearful that Joseph would turn on them, hate them, and return the evil they did to Joseph when they sold him into slavery years before. Joseph wept hearing that his half brothers were unsure of his motives and expected him to do harm to them.

Joseph reaffirmed his original position, he told his half brothers that he forgave them because going to Egypt as a slave was the will of Father Yahweh. When his half brothers doubted the forgiveness of Joseph, this was just like when so many Christians doubt Father Yahweh has actually forgiven their sins of falling short of his laws and commandments. Sin leaves open wounds that need to heal and these wounds had not healed unto his brothers. All should know at this point that sin is the transgression of the Fathers laws (1 John3:4), and all should also know the Messiah bore our transgressions on the cross.

In hindsight the entire time that Joseph was in Egypt, and the time he spent in prison was for the greater good, in that the Father was preparing Joseph to be ruler of Egypt by making him become a servant of Potiphar, and with the one connection Joseph made while he was in prison. People remaining faithful during persecution spreads the word of the Father and promotes the Kingdom of God. This is true in this case and it's also true in the early Christian church when the followers of Christianity remained faithful even unto death. The history of the true Church of Christ has never grown during times of non-persecution.

So often as Christians, we are commanded to do things that we may not understand or know why the Father wants us to do such things, such as authoring a blog that has only two active subscribers, but these things are for a greater good for his kingdom. This Chapter closes with Joseph living to be 110 years. Joseph was embalmed by the Egyptians because he wanted to be buried with his fathers in Canaan land and we know this burial happened over 400 years later, so embalming was essential. Joseph's legacy in Egypt was well known for many years afterward. I have stated before that it is my belief that Joseph and Imhotep are the same person Is Joseph Imhotep? Part 1 and in Is Joseph Imhotep Part 2. Chapter 50 is the only place in the Bible where anyone is embalmed or preserved after death.

When the Messiah was here on earth he taught us to pray for the Kingdom Of God to come to earth through the Lord's Prayer (Matt 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4). Often times we do not even know what we are praying for when we pray for his will to be done (Romans 8:26-28). This may be vague for most of us because we want to be able to see immediate results and know that our efforts are bringing forth results. God's Holy Kingdom is larger in scope then any of us, and all of us. I pray that all of Israel will say "yes" to their calling and work for the coming Kingdom of God on earth.

For those who may not know...
There are 4 things that the Bible commands Israelites to do in order to be in God's grace: 

1. Humble yourself. 2. Pray to the Father (only when you talk to him is when you can expect him to talk to you). 3. Seek the face of God and his will for your life. 4. Turn from your wicked ways by repenting. Repenting means to change the way you think. Then when you do these 4 things can you expect to be in God's grace and to bring his kingdom here to earth (2 Chronicles 7:14). Praise the Lord!

Continuing with Genesis 49 and the tribes of Israel in the final days, we continue with Gad, Asher, Nephtali, and Benjamin. These tribes are a little less obvious of their present locations. Because of this, I am using the book called “The Lost Ten Tribes of Israel...Found!” by Steven M. Collins as a reference. I have personally read his series of books and know that he has put the time in to study the migrations of Israel. For the sake of brevity, and I will try to keep it brief, I am sure I will inadvertently omit information that others may want to know about. For those who wish to read the complete sections about each tribe, or want more information I can recommend this book and the other books by Steven Collins.

The major difference I have with is that Steven Collins is that Steven believes that the Ashkenazi proselytized Jews of Khazaria came from the tribe of Judah which of course we know is untrue (about 90% of the people we call Jews today are Ashkenazi Jews). My guess is that he probably couldn't have had his books published otherwise. The Ashkenazi are descended from the Assyrians which mixed with the Russian Tartar's after they fled from the Babylonians during the Battle of Carchemesh. This mixing of the Assyrians with the Russian Tartar's is described in the book “Chemevision” on pg. 102-103 by William J Hale.

Each tribe has their own individual characteristics that are separate from one another. Because there is a failure to understand this fact, men have declared that all of the tribes have lost their identity and somehow believe the people we call “Jews” today posses all the blessings from Jacob-Israel when the Bible tells no such story.

When trying to identify the location of the tribes today, we have to keep in mind that the time frame of the vision of Jacob-Israel was in the last days. Are we in the last days one may ask? Many times in history Christians have thought we were in the last days and that the return of Yashua Messiah would be eminent. One such example I can readily give is during the 14th Century Bubonic Plague of Europe when Christians witnessed wholesale human death by pestilence. Pestilence is described by the Messiah as being one of the signs of the approaching latter days (Matt 24:7, Luke 21:11). Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that the characteristics of the individual tribes will become much more pronounced as the actual Day of The Lord approaches (whenever that time may be).

Gad “Gad, a troop shall overcome him: he shall overcome at the last.” In Hebrew the word Troop also means “an invading force” (Gen 49:19). To try to understand where Gad will be in the last days we look for a country that can survive from invading forces. The only way that a nation could survive in such adversity is to try to remain neutral. A possible nation in our time that could fit this description is the country of Switzerland. Switzerland is a country that has been formed from the influence of Italians, Germans, and French. Switzerland is a small mountainous country that is well capable of defending itself against foreign invaders. In our time this prophecy may play out with the invasion of Switzerland by other countries seeking Swiss gold. This exact scenario of such an event is currently being prepared for by the Swiss in their mountains to repel French invaders due to the collapsing Euro. If the Swiss are invaded then this will be the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Asher “Out of Asher his bread shall be fat and he shall yield royal dainties.” Gen 49:20 Although this is seemingly a benign verse, it does have meaning when looked at closer. His bread being fat is a clue that is is a prosperous European nation. With the term “royal dainties” comparing it with the original Hebrew words the word royal comes from “melek” Strong's Concordance #4428 which literally means a king and the word yield means “to give” #5414 and dainties means means “delightful” #4574. The countries of Belgium and Luxembourg are noted for their pastries that are enjoyed by kings and other royalties throughout Europe.

Nephtali “Nephtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.” Gen 49:21 Nephtali is the tribe that was taken into captivity all at once and not in sections as the other tribes. History records the Naphtalites as being the people of the Ephtalite, also known as the white Huns because they were from the fair skinned Caucasian race and were referred to as their Israelite tribal name as late as the 6^th century A.D.

Benjamin “Benjamin shall ravenous as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.” The tribe of Benjamin is famous for their wars against the other tribes of Israel such as in JudgesChapters 19-21. They have become a seafaring people that also used ships to attack from the sea. Today we would refer to these Benjaminites as “Vikings.” The Viking homeland of Norway fills the end time prophecy for the tribe of Benjamin the best.

Another significant verse in Chapter 49 is when Jacob-Israel charged the tribe of Judah with the responsibility for the custody of "Jacob's Pillar" (stone of Bethel) in V. 24.

This Chapter ends with Jacob-Israel telling his sons to of bury him in the Cave of Machpelah, then afterward died. The cave of Machpelah is the same place where Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, and Leah are buried.

I praise the Lord that we have a living Bible that reveals not only the Bible as being true, but, history and science as being true also!

The Serpent Tribe of Dan Part 2 Genesis 49:16-18

Lewis and Clark found Irish Indians

Ironically, when Meriwether Lewis (from the Lewis and Clark expedition) returned, Lewis was telling everyone that there were fair skinned Irish Indians in the American interior. If true this would give Ireland a claim to the Louisiana purchase and quite possible America itself. Mysteriously Lewis was soon murdered and many pages from his journal disappeared at the same time. Not to many years afterward the U.S. Army is credited with giving Smallpox blankets to the Mandan Indians reducing their numbers greatly.

Dan the pioneer of Israel, written in 1880 by Colonel JC Gawler. This is a book written about the travels of the tribe of Dan for those who wish to study this further.

Dan in the End time Prophecy

During the prophetic vision of Jacob-Israel in V. 18 Jacob states “I have waited for thy salvation, oh Lord.” I have looked at different commentaries and the explanations are all over the place. So I will throw my opinion into the mix. It's my belief that when Jacob was prophesying he saw something he didn't like and expressed something that he was seeing in his vision. Did he see the tribe of Dan conquering lands and renaming lands after their ancestor Dan, or did he see something that was to come in the final days relating to this tribe? We may not know at this time, but in the end of the age we will have a better picture. Some believe that the tribe of Dan will not enter the New Jerusalem when it comes to earth because the tribe is not specifically mentioned in Rev 7.

Dan in the New Jerusalem

In Chapter 7 of Revelation, the 12 tribes of Israel that will rule with Yahweh (Israel means to rule with God or to rule under God's law) does not include the tribe of Dan. There are three theories that exist that I know of. The first is that some how Dan was removed from the nation of Israel. I believe this is unlikely because the prophecy from Jacob specifically states that Dan will judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel V.16. The second possibility is that because Dan will judge the other tribes this may mean that Dan is to sit at the gates to judge the other Israelite tribes of the new Jerusalem and will not physically enter the city because of it. Another third possibility and is probably the reason that the tribe of Dan is not mentioned in Rev 7 is because the tribe of Dan was omitted through a translational error. The reason I say this is because Rev 7:6 mentions the tribe of Manasseh which is the son of Joseph and Manasseh came from the tribe of Joseph. Then in V. 8 it again mentions the tribe of Joseph itself. The idea behind this being an error is because the total number of Israelites that will rule from the New Jerusalem is 144,000 and the error of adding the tribe of Manassah instead of Dan means that one tribe had to be deleted to keep the total at 144,000 mathematically. So my opinion is the correct translation should have omitted Manassah and should have added Dan.

The Serpent Tribe of Dan Part 1 Genesis 49:16-18

The tribe of Dan (Dan means to Judge or Discern), will be the easiest to identify of all the tribal prophecies of Jacob-Israel. This is based upon the proclivity of the tribe of Dan to use the name “Dan” where they have traveled and conquered. In V. 17 Jacob-Israel's vision for the last days of Dan is described as a serpent in the sand leaving a trail of where he goes. Therefore the symbol for the tribe of Dan is the serpent. 

Early History of Dan

The renaming of the conquered lands being renamed with the word “Dan” is first recognized in the book of Joshua 19:47 when the tribe of Dan conquered the city of Leshem and renamed it Dan after their ancestor. This set a precedent of Danites both attacking foreign lands and renaming the lands by some form of a derivative in the name of their tribal name.

The tribe of Dan originally had a tiny piece of land on the coast of the Mediterranean that encompassed the city of Joppa. Some may recognize that this is where Jonah sailed from when he was running to Tarshish. The tribe of Dan eventually single-handedly conquered a portion of land North East of the Sea of Galilee from the Canaanites. This shows that the tribe of Dan was quite capable of acting unilaterally and without permission from the other tribes of Israel.

The tribe of Dan “remained in ships” as stated in the song of Debrah and Barak when they conquered the Midianites around 1200 B.C. Judges 5:17  Other examples of their journeys and conquests include the area of Turkey associated with Troy which was once called Dardania, and the area between the Agean and Black Seas which are called the Dardanelles. The tribe of Dan were expert navigators and master craftsmen that are responsible for the building of the Ark of the Covenant. The most famous Danites were Sampson and the first century General and Scribe Flavious Josephus.

The Tribe of Dan is in Ireland and Denmark

According to Irish history, around 721 B.C., a group of fair skinned people called the Tuatha De Danaan arrived in Ireland. These Danaans are the earliest settlers of Ireland. The date of their arrival is significant because this is the same time frame of the fall of Israel to the Assyrians.

Many other areas in Europe contain the name Dan in their names to show the extent of their travels. One famous country is called Dan's Mark, in English we call this land "Denmark."

Danites in America
There's evidence that the tribe of Dan came to America before Columbus and after the settling of Ireland. One piece of evidence comes from the Serpent Mound in Peebles, Ohio that was built by people who marked a hill with a giant 1,348 ft. serpent. Another major item is with the fair skinned ManDan Indian tribes that were discovered by Lewis and Clark along the Missouri River that not only spoke Irish Gaelic (Gaelic is identical to Ancient or Paleo-Hebrew) but had customs that were identical to the Irish, such as the way the Indians built their river boats that was identical to Irish river boats of Europe.

It was once commonly known that European Americans were descended from the ancient Israelites  of old during the early years of this country. The early revolutionary flags of America bear witness to this fact by containing the symbol of the snake of Dan and the words “Don't Tread On Me”.

Isshachar In Finland. Genesis 49:14-15

In this passage Jacob-Israel makes an end time prophecy regarding the tribe of Isshachar. In V.14 Jacob prophecies that Issachar would be a strong ass crouching between two burdens. This perfectly describes the nation of Finland in the way that they have a history of being stubborn in repelling attacks from neighboring countries. An example of Finland's stuborness is when they repelled the Russians during WWII and they were greatly outnumbered.

Finland is centrally located between Russia and Sweden in which both of these nations have battled for control of Finland during the 1700's and 1800's, while historically, Finland has tried to remain a neutral country. They also paid tribute to Russia after WWII for war reparations, fulfilling part of the prophecy of v.15. Most of the history of Finland is centered on them being a buffer between the stronger nations of Sweden and Russia. Their attempts to remain neutral have put them in the position for their capital, Helsinki, to be used as the place of signing for a great peace document called the “Helsinki Accords” which is an East-West agreement.

The crouching between"two burdens" (strong nations of Sweden and Russia), fulfills Jacob's prophecy for Issachar in our modern time. 

Evidence of Issachar's passing in this exact area comes from Numbers 26:23 which identifies one of the clans of Issachar as being called “Tola”. The Scythian tribal name that occupied the area of Finland as “To-Char-I” which is a composite word. To- from the word Tola and Char from the tribal name of Issa-Char forms the word “To-chari”.

Geographical evidence comes from the location of the Russian city of Tula, which is South of Moscow to the Caucasus Mountains. This is best summed up by Steven M. Collins in his book “The Lost Ten Tribes of Israel... Found!” when on pg. 406 when he writes “Plotting a course on a map from the Caucasus region past Tula would lead one directly to Finland and Scandinavia. This indicates that the tribe of Issachar took a more northerly route into Europe.”

One observation I have personally noticed is that the flag of Finland which is a sideways cross mounted on a white background is vaguely the configuration of the Israelite encampment in Numbers Chapter 2. If you envision the top of the flag being North, and the bottom being South, then the East column going to the right, which is much longer than the other 3 points would represent Judah's 186,400 men which had more than the numbers of people that were in the other 3 leading tribes. To the South would be the tribe of Reuben with 151,400, the West is Ephrahim with 108,100 and to the North is the tribe of Dan with157,600.

Continuing on with the end time prophecy of Jacob-Israel we come to the tribe of Zebulun. There are many distinguishing similarities between the Israelite tribe of Zebulun and the modern day nation of Holland that are uncanny enough for there to be books written about the similarities of the two.

The book "Strange Parallel" is a book written by Helene Koppejan that lays out the similarities between the tribe of Zebulun and Holland. 

The end time prophecy of Jacob-Israel regarding the tribe of Zebulun refers to Zebulun and their connection to the sea. This same connection with the sea is also the prophecy that Moses made in Deuteronomy 33:19 when he gave the Mosaic end time prophecy for the tribe of Zebulun.

I will mention just a few similarities between Holland and the book that are very similar in hope to spark others interest to research on their own:
The name Zebulun comes from ancient Hebrew. Ancient Hebrew has no vowels and is pronounced based upon the context. So, when you break down the word "Zebulun" into its basic parts of Zaw, Beith, and Lamed, it takes on special meaning.
Zaw-means to hook or hooking action.
Beith-means home or dwelling.
Lamed- means movement in both ancient Hebrew, and in Gaelic.
This hooking movement is exactly what windmills do when they move water, and is what Holland is notorious for.

In Judges 5:14 Deborah's blessing is that Zebulun would have the handle of the pen. Holland is notorious for their fine documents and calligraphy. Historically Holland has produced the most accurate sailing maps in the world. I have even heard that the original inventor of the printing press with movable type was from Holland and was named Laurens Coster.

During the 17th Century Holland was the largest shipping power in the world. Because Holland sailed all over the world, they ended up establishing colonies world wide, including a few locally. In America the Dutch found New York City (New Amsterdam), and Block Island (Rhode Island) was found by Adriaen Block a Dutch explorer. Another famous colony the dutch established was on the Southern tip of Africa, and of course we now call this the "Nation of South Africa."

Another uncanny similarity is in the 12 stones of the breast plate of Aaron; Exodus 28:18. These stones represent the 12 tribes of Israel. The one stone that represents the tribe of Zebulun happens to be a diamond. It's well know that  Amsterdam, Holland is the diamond cutting capitol of the world.


As always I pray that all will gain enough interest to investigate on their own any subject matter I post. I praise the Lord for his willingness to not forget even one Israelite; Amos 9:9!

Prophecy Concerning Israel Genesis 49:1-12

In Genesis 49 Israel makes a prophecy about the tribes of Israel in the last days. Some people use chapter 49 as a road map to locate the individual tribes themselves. Although there is much evidence in what areas the tribes of Israel relocated in during and after the Assyrian captivity, there is some reasoning that people have to take into account.

For example...
There is great evidence that portions of the tribe of Reuben relocated to modern day France. One small example of why I say this is because the symbols of Reuben have been shown to be in the heraldic symbols on French flags, while at the same time we can find evidence that portions of the same tribe of Reuben also relocated in Southeast Russia 1 Chron 5. The point I am trying to make is that not every single Reubenite relocated to one specific area. This is also true with the other tribes also.

France more so then other places contains the most prominent evidence of the tribe of Reuben. However, one can argue that modern day France has not always had the same borders that it has now and portions of the tribe of Reuben could have spilled over into another neighboring country or another Israelite tribe could have relocated within the same region of France which would quell a fast hard rule that any specific tribe is located within any modern day border.

Another problem is with individuals moving from one area to another do not change tribes. For example: America at one time had the blessings that were given to Manasseh. We started to lose these blessings about the same time as the founding of the country of Israeli (1948) which is another story in itself. However, the point I am trying to make with this statement is that sailing across the ocean from Europe doesn't change a person from one Israelite tribe to the tribe of Manasseh.

So... I continue and want all to keep in mind that the following are generalities.
As stated above (from Genesis 48) the blessings of the tribe of Manasseh were best seen in the United States, and the tribe of Ephraim was seen in the nation of Great Britain.

Reuben- described as being unstable as water in Gen 49:4 The word "French" has become synonymous with passion and physical sexual appetites. The most modern example of the unstability of France is  demonstrated by them caving in to the German army quickly during WW2 and they even fought against America when the US was trying to land in North Africa.

Simeon and Levi- are not to have their own nation in the last days because of their cruelty Gen 49:5-7.

Judah- Members of Judah went to the Islands that were far off (Ireland and Britain Jer 31:10), it's also true that Germany contains evidence that individuals from Judah originally settled there too. From other posts, you may remember that I have stated that I believe the Throne of David and Jacob's pillar is currently located in West Minster Abbey and used for coronation ceremonies. The arch surrounding the chair are the words "THIS IS GOD'S HOUSE" (Gen 28:22), this is according to the book"Our Great Heritage" by: WTF Jarrold, pg.168.

The throne and Jacob's pillar are symbols that the tribe of Judah would keep until Yashua Messiah returns to occupy the throne which Judah will keep; Gen 48:10. This can only happen if the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, happens to be a descendant from King David, and of course there is ample evidence that she is. The chart of her lineage is available from Artisan Publishers for those who wish to purchase a copy for themselves.

In Verse 12 it states that Judah's eyes shall be red with wine and teeth white with milk. The commentaries that I have read state that V12 is telling us that Judah in the last days will have abundant wealth which can only come from the fertile valleys of Europe and America. If anyone else has a different view than this then I encourage you to leave comments. I am open to constructive criticism.

So in closing the question is: where are the people we call the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel today? No matter what your take is on this question you must keep in mind that the Father is always true to his word. He tells us in John 10:27-29 that his sheep hear his voice. Knowing this to be true, who hears his voice today, produces almost all the bibles in circulation and produces the most amount of missionaries to the rest of the world?
Another thing to keep in mind about the physical location of contemporary Israelites is that the Father knows where everyone single Israelite is and promises he will not lose a single Israelite at all, ever! Amos 9:9.

The information here is in no way exhaustive. I wouldn't even describe it as being the "tip of the iceberg". One could spend many years studying the volumes of information on the subject.

I pray that all will take the time to study the details in the Bible and in life to come up with their own opinion based upon how Yahweh's holy spirit would lead them.
